Question:

What type of knives would you recommend for this course (beginner Forks and Knives)?

— Lorraine Cobb

Answer:

So, you know without Being brand specific or recommending any particular manufacturer. I would recommend looking at the Victorinox products and they have a line of Cutlery called fibrox. I think it's spelled fibrox and that line of Cutlery provides in my opinion a good value and several years ago. It was also named a Best Buy by the folks at Consumer Reports, which I think was pretty cool. But the Victorinox Victorinox by the way is the Swiss army knife people in case that sounds familiar to you, but the Victorinox fibrox line of knives is nothing special. Okay, they aren't handmade they're nothing to brag about to your family and friends, but they are util. Area the blades are stamped steel. Okay, again, nothing special from a manufacturing standpoint, but they provide a hardness that will hold its Cutting Edge for reasonably long period of time yet. They're the metal is soft enough that they're easy to sharpen when that time comes and the handles are a molded rubber again. Nothing real interesting about that, but they're easy to clean and they last a really long time and yeah, I've got all kinds of Cutlery from handmade knives to your popular, you know store but Brands and I also have some fibrox and knives that I use and those are workhorses. That's my recommendation. Thank you.
