Question:

How many cups of apples and pears in that apple sauce recipe you mentioned?

— Dr K Kimmel

Answer:

Really good question. So I do two-thirds apples to one third pair. So when I made it, I probably had, I had three pairs and I had eight to nine apples. Again, one of my apples was the size of a softball. So that was a, a lot and only a half a cup of apple cider. You don't have to use the apple cider, you could use a half a cup of water as well. Um, there's so much water in the apples and the pears, I just like to put a little bit in the bottom until they start to release so they don't, so I don't burn the apples of pears in the bottom of the pan. And with that I put in a teaspoon of, um, cinnamon powder at the end. And that's really all there is to it.
