Question:

Do you have any recommendations or tips for how to best use freezer space?

— Jacqueline Osborn

Answer:

The best part of this is just organizational, you know. Know how I guess if you will you don't need the best containers you can use like, you know, the ziplocks or plastic bags or something like that. Just I usually double wrap them up. I'm doing something like that frostbite and something you know. Couple things is label them. Make sure you can see the labels from the end. They don't have to pull every single thing out to be able to see what it is. So you can actually see the label on the end or if it's a bunch of bags top stacked on top of each other. You're just fold down the end of it to be able to see what's actually in each one of those date them specifically and I also put different kinds of things in different areas, right? So I might have Frozen fruits in one section. I might have Frozen, you know, like I do like frozen herbs and like different kind of like, Vegetables that will add into other things like sauces like a good example is for like my kids love mac and cheese but we try to typically do those vegan version but we'll add differently vegetables like butternut squash and things into those and I'll freeze, you know, roasted butternut squash that have been pureed and ice cubes. Right? So I put those into the freezer and I'll do those different kind of purees and same like pesto and Basils and season, they'll do pesto like that as well. So I'll kind of like my ice cube vegetable area on my you know, the Frozen fruits and then I'll have like some other like I don't know Frozen veggie burgers or something next to those and then other things like, you know, ice and stuff on the other side, but I'll basically put them in rows so I know kind of what's in each one and I'll put the the newest one on the top which is just out of convenience to make that happen. And I know on the bottom is the things that I want to be able to use first as I go through make sure that you can see everything we can date everything and that should be able to just with the logistics-wise of organizing your freezer just a little bit better. So I hope that helps directly.
