Question:

How can I ensure I'm getting enough protein if eating plant based?

— Simi B

Answer:

So, you know, I've been plant-based for 23 years now and I've never had a problem getting enough protein you get protein from all kinds of different plants that you might not think you're getting them from. I mean broccoli can have as much protein as a hamburger can you know, but the only places that I've ever seen people needed more protein than just eating regular foods and your beans are fine. Your lentils are great. So the long and the short of it is you don't really have to worry about getting a ton of protein eating a whole food plant-based diet because you get a lot of protein just out of the vegetables naturally from the foods that you're eating, you know, avoiding the tofus totally fine. You can eat beans, but you're not to eat beans every single day. Let's seeds and your standard vegetables going to help a wide variety of different. A wide variety of different vegetables is always good to be able to help that and not get different kinds of proteins too as well. So yeah, that's probably my best suggestion is not to worry about it too much again a chef not a doctor as far as how much protein you individually need depending on your activity level and any other dietary needs as well too. So that's probably the best answer I can give to you on that one city.
